If you're implying that a faction or regime who has a track record of blowing up train stations and bombing embassies is entitled to civil discourse with important international political leaders, then you are not only naive, but possibly dangerous to both your family and your country. We need debate in this age, rational discourse is essential if we are to resolve the economical and political crisis we face, but we also need accountability. And we should never negotiate with terrorists.

I don't know why people bother giving some people on here basic logic lessons. If Americans want to vote against public health care because it represents "socialism" (a buzzword that most Americans would not be able to begin to deconstruct), then let them. Meanwhile, we'll laugh when we hear American's tell us about their great way of life whilst they continue 3rd world policy.

glad to hear you admit it - 2 wars, economy in the dumper and 50 million without adequate healthcare - you call that a success story? so you believe only the rich should have health care? you sure are drinking the kool-aid - I have had more than adequate health care and have never paid out of pocket except for; crutches, a 24 hour heart monitor which totaled about $100. I have been in hospital 4 times with serious injury with ZERO bill to pay. How do you like them apples?

I am Canadian so I am well versed in the pros and cons of socialized medicine. You should do some homework into how the AMA and big pharma have brain washed many Americans into believing that a national healthcare program is an "intrusion." Just listen to AMA talking head Dr. Sanjai Gupta of CNN rail against national healthcare. By the way in Canada if you smoke and/or are fat, health problems ARE covered by our system. Health care should NEVER be based on ability to pay. NEVER.

so you obviously agree with obama's health care policy, allowing government to ever yet step more into our lives and yet again taking away our own personal privacy, like the U.K. do some research on how much govenrment interferes with their lives. Besides that, socialized healthe care only covers so much, for example if you are fat or you smoke, the goevernment will not cover costs relating to that.
